Jason is based in our Hong Kong office and is fluent in Mandarin. He has lived and worked in the region since first arriving in Hong Kong in 1991. Jason has returned to his recruiting practice this year after substantial in-house experience with tech companies, PE firms and family offices.

Jason received his JD from Tulane and has over 25 years experience advising companies in Asia on a broad range of corporate and legal matters including governance, regulatory compliance, M&A structuring and execution, joint ventures, cross border transactions and strategic partnerships.

Jason previously worked in legal recruitment in Hong Kong during the booming mid 2000s with Hudson and Major Lindsey & Africa, where he was Head of Asia Associate Recruiting and set up their Tokyo office. Although he found success placing associates, partners and in-house counsel across Asia, as well as taking on Asia wide management roles, Jason was disillusioned by the KPI centric practices prevalent in the industry and he ultimately returned to corporate roles. However, having met with Evan Jowers and Alejandro Vargas and learning of the more holistic approach offered by the Jowers Vargas platform, Jason decided to return to the recruiting industry last year.

Jason lives in Hong Kong with his wife and children, who were all born in the city. During his spare time, Jason enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. He is a big fan of the New Orleans Saints.
